Removes ammonia, chloramine and chlorine.
Breaks the chloramine bond, neutralizes chlorine
and removes free ammonia from pond water in
minutes. Helps
lower toxic ammonia levels sometimes present
in ponds. Useful in areas where chloramine
is added to municipal water systems.
Details:
Add with new water or water change. Wait
24 hours to test and retreat if fish are
in distress. Will help neutralize ammonia.
Maintain strong aeration for one hour after
use. Before treating for ammonia, a 25%
partial water change is necessary. Increased
amounts of can be used safely up to three
times the recommended dosage. While this
product is compatible with most ammonia
test kits, readings may vary in some areas.
Can be used in water containing medicinal
type dyes.

Raises pH of pond water and increases alkaline
content. Raises the pH of pond water and is
useful in areas where acid rainfall is a problem.
Also good to use when water runs through a
water softener.
Details: Does not affect the iron and won't
soften water. Add in small amounts to gradually
bring water to desired level. Take another
pH reading before adding additional Pond pH
Increaser. Do not increase the pH more than
.5 every 24 hours. Rainfall, water run-off,
fish excretion, dead vegetation, rocks and
other foreign materials may cause pH changes.
The pH level should be tested weekly. If pH
drops below 6.5, the biological filter's efficiency
will be reduced or shut down. This will result
in ammonia buildup which is toxic to fish. |

in hard water areas where the pH is unusually
high. Great for new cement ponds to help neutralize
the alkalinity of the cement.
Details: Add in small amounts to gradually
bring water to desired level. Take another
pH reading before adding additional Pond pH
Decreaser. Do not decrease the pH more than
.5 every 24 hours. Rainfall, water run-off,
fish excretion, dead vegetation, rocks and
other foreign materials may cause pH changes.
The pH level should be tested weekly. The
pH may rise again within 24 hours. Natural
buffers in hard water (calcium and magnesium
carbonates) interfere with the stability of
the pH once lowered. This condition can be
overcome by repeated additions of pH Decreaser. |
